42 members and 9 Roll Models skated 4897 laps this year, which is close to 160 miles!!! The league raised $11,321.76Most laps in one round go to Bash N Dash and Eon in the blue group and Ghost in the Graveyard and Casper from the red group! Most laps for Roll Models went to Morti with 27 in 5 minutes. Maddy skated 123 laps in 30 minutes, but has moved on to Sharks and Jets, so we’d like to also recognize Hari Styles as the Rocker/Bomber with the most laps at 119 in 30 minutes. Thorns and Abysmal tied for the most QuickSilver laps in 30 minutes, completing 158 laps each. Jelly Roll completed the Most Laps for Sharks and Jets, and for the league as a whole with 163 laps! Lute had the most sponsors with 19 different sponsors! Chicken Nugget recurved the most votes for “Best Boutfit” Thorns received the award for Most raised for QuickSilver with $336, but the leaderboard shows Kira raised $429! Ms. ShowBiz raised the most out of the Roll Models with $387. Looney raised the most for Rockers/Bombers with $756. Scarlett raised the most for Sharks/Jets at $905. Lute brought home the grand prize with a total raised of $1011.70Participating Skaters earned charms to add to a keychain or charm bracelet by working hard and participating fully!
For skating the entirety of their first round, skaters earned a Green Clover
For skating the entirety of their second round, skaters earned an Orange Star
For skating the entirety of their third round, skaters earned a Yellow Moon
For skating the entirety of their fourth round, skaters earned a Purple Horseshoe
For skating the entirety of their fifth round, skaters earned a Blue Diamond
For skating the entirety of their sixth round, skaters earned a Red Balloon
For participating in (at least part) of ALL of the rounds they were eligible to skate in, skaters earned the chain of charms.
For participating in both Off Skates and On Skates warm ups, skaters earned a Rainbow.
For securing at least one pledge, skaters earned a Magical Unicorn.
For wearing an appropriate Boutfit, skaters earned a Pink Heart.
In addition to the 10 charms pictured here, skaters also had a March RADness charm, a charmed representation of their assigned helmet cover, and a charm with their jersey number.
Of the 42 participating league members, 39 earned every charm available!
It takes a community to make our little non profit league successful! Thank you to parents, families, and volunteers that fed us, counted us, clothed us, got us where we needed to be, announced for us, timed us, decorated for us, photographed us, live streamed us, and cleaned up after us! Thank you Roll Models for helping us time our laps and get ready to roll. RAJRD has our Skate A Thon timed out down to the second! There are 30 second between each 5 minute round. Each member is assigned to a group (Red or Blue). Each group skates in six 5-minute rounds, alternating between DERBY direction and CLOCKWISE. Roll Models take the track for a single 5-minute round after the groups have completed 4 rounds each. After the Roll Models, each group has 2 rounds left to skate!
